Table setting ideas
The wedding is getting closer and I keep looking for creative table setting ideas. I love the settings pictured above. It gives a little height to the candle light and I love the mismatched goblets.
This idea and more found here.

Pin wheel garden
I think these would make adorable place settings!! Of course I would paint the base and used patterned paper, not photo paper. I think I will have these on the tables at my sister's shower.. don't tell her!

Urchin lights
A strange and haunting project, I rather like it!
I think these little LED lit beauties would look amazing clustered on a table set for a lavish dinner. Or maybe in a large glass cylinder as a centerpiece?

I love dioramas. This reflects my love of all things little and tiny. This is a fun project from Readymade, nothing new really, just a lovely version using vintage illustrations: instructions

Glass Jar Make-over
Super easy! I can't seem to recycle a single glass jar: they are just too utilitarian and this just proves my point. Thanks Apartment Therapy

Cheapy Wreath and More Buttons
Two fun projects: brown paper bag wreath, kinda dorky, but I think it has potential, found here.
And a interesting way to display those vintage buttons I am hoarding. From DesignSponge

New books and Collagraphs
This Christmas, I received three very inspiring books: one from my mother, one from my father and one from my husband. These three people never cease to encourage my creative pursuits. I cannot wait to begin working on 2D projects this year. I spend most of my creative time in my ceramic studio (see my work and space here) working in 3D, a bit of balance will be welcome and I think the two processes will feed one another.
Also, at the Arts Center where I teach, we have just begun collagraphs, and I have included two of my first prints. Check out my students' progress here. This process is so much fun and assessable to a wide range of ages and skill levels. I love that lovely prints can be created using found materials.

Snow Globe at Crafty Hour
The finishing touches
The snow globes were lovely!
Sarah's winter deer
Sofie's Lost themed globe
Paper chains!
We had a great time creating very unique snow globes and paper chains at the Arts Center! Kids, adults and even an infant enjoyed a cookie and art-fill evening.
